LeMesurier Showcased at EARPA FORM Forum: advancing research for Europe’s climate-neutral mobility

The European Automotive Research Partners Association (EARPA) hosted the 5th edition of the FORM Forum in Brussels from 30 September to 1 October. This year’s agenda strategically aligned with the European Commission’s vision to reinforce the competitiveness of the Union’s automotive sector under the slogan ‘Transitioning Road Mobility: Actions to Safeguard Europe’s Competitive Edge’.

EARPA brings together researchers, pushing research and technological development forward to overcome some of the most pressing topics for the industry. With sustainability as a crucial challenge for the industry, the forum’s programme featured several discussions around e-mobility and zero-emission transport. Our partner, Zisis Lampropoulos (Emisia), was one of the speakers of the Technical Presentations, where he introduced Emisia’s contributions to the LeMesurier project in the development of a simulation-based framework to assess the impact of the 2ZERO Partnership. Lampropoulos shared insights into the COPERT/SIBYL tool for calculating vehicle emissions, and its approach for estimating EU27 road transport energy savings up to 2050. LeMesurier employs the PRIMES-TREMOVE and MOVEID models to deliver more contrasted and methodologically diverse insights.

Other Work Package leaders and key partners within our consortium were present at this event, taking the opportunity to engage with public and private representatives about the importance of our research to guide 2ZERO and future partnerships in their roadmap toward impactful and measured sustainability goals.

LeMesurier at EARPA webinar: Tracking 2ZERO progress through KPIs
As part of close cooperation with EARPA, our project coordinator, Simon Edwards, from RICARDO, a member of the association, participated in the webinar ‘EARPA Projects Unveiled: A Showcase of Cutting-Edge Automotive Research Projects’. Simon introduced LeMesurier’s focus on creating a KPI-based framework to track 2ZERO’s progress toward climate-neutral road transport. The webinar also featured the MAGELLAN and FlexCrash projects.
