As the LeMesurier approaches the end of its first year since its launch in January 2024, significant progress has been achieved in its mission to support the EU’s ambitious transport sustainability goals. Today, the project hosted its second General Assembly and Advisory Board meeting, bringing together key stakeholders to review achievements and chart the path forward.
During the online encounter, the European Commission emphasised the importance of a project like LeMesurier in measuring and fulfilling EU sustainability goals. At its core, LeMesurier aims to establish a robust framework for assessing the real impact of the 2ZERO Partnership, under which our project is funded and focused on achieving zero tailpipe emission mobility of people and goods.
LeMesurier addresses critical challenges by defining clear, unbiased messages based on data, reframing existing frameworks, and providing actionable political input to ensure the European mobility sector’s competitiveness. Another relevant progress reported during the meeting is the establishment of baseline values that allow the LeMesurier team to measure the tangible impact of 2ZERO projects over time. By providing a consistent framework for evaluation, these KPIs ensure that progress towards transport sustainability goals is tracked accurately and transparently, offering invaluable insights for policy development and sector innovation.
Progress across all Work Packages
The project consortium reported notable progress, with all work packages (WPs) up and running. The LeMesurier KPI assessment with 2ZERO projects is already underway as part of an extensive and ongoing effort. A handful of those projects have already provided their input, while others are in the pipeline. Early next year, the project will initiate interviews with project coordinators, further enriching the data collection process.
The team is not only assessing project-specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) but also grouping projects into thematic clusters to gain a broader perspective on their collective impact. This comprehensive approach ensures the results are not only relevant to 2ZERO internal goals but also applicable to the wider EU sustainability agenda.
Looking ahead, LeMesurier is poised to deliver relevant outcomes in the coming months, offering deeper insights into the project’s ongoing work in close relation to emerging topics within the EU’s mobility landscape. All these efforts are aimed at creating a shared vision for a sustainable, competitive, and innovative future in mobility in Europe.
