LeMesurier:paving the way for a clean European road transport future

The European Union is committed to achieving climate neutrality by 2050. A crucial aspect of this ambitious goal is transitioning to a clean and sustainable road transport system. Here’s where the LeMesurier project comes in, playing a vital role in measuring progress towards this objective.

The 2Zero Partnership: driving innovation in clean transport

LeMesurier is a key initiative under the 2Zero Partnership, an EU-funded co-programmed partnership building upon the legacy of the European Green Cars Initiative (EGCI) and the European Green Vehicles Initiative (EGVI). The 2Zero Partnership fosters research and innovation to develop solutions for clean road transport, identifying research needs to meet European goals for transport, energy, and the environment. This effort lays the groundwork for a carbon-neutral road transport system, accelerating the transition to a more sustainable future.

The 2Zero Partnership goes beyond just reducing tailpipe emissions. This initiative aims to foster economic growth, job creation, and increased competitiveness for the EU. Additionally, it strengthens the EU’s technology leadership in the road transport sector.

LeMesurier: Measuring Progress for a Cleaner Future

LeMesurier takes a crucial step forward by developing a framework to track progress and measure the impact of initiatives towards zero-emission road transport. This framework will be instrumental in evaluating the effectiveness of the 2Zero projects’ Key Performance Indicators to ensure they remain effective in guiding Europe’s transition to clean road transport. Additionally, the project will provide recommendations to refine measurement and evaluation for 2ZERO and beyond, ensuring continuous improvement in clean transport initiatives.

LeMesurier complies with the Green Deal, which sets a roadmap for transforming the EU into a modern, resource-efficient, and competitive economy. By measuring the effectiveness of investments in clean transport, LeMesurier ensures that the EU stays on track to achieve its ambitious climate neutrality goals.

Coordinated by Ricardo and E3-Modelling, the LeMesurier project boasts a powerful consortium that includes EMISIA, AVL, VDI/VDE-IT, Bosch, CERTH, ERTICO, FEV, FHG, IDIADA, IFPEN, POLIS, and UEMI. The project is also supported by a distinguished Advisory Board featuring organizations like the 2Zero Partnership itself, EUCAR, CLEPA, ERTRAC, and the CCAM Partnership.
